Creating a WebApp

You can create a new WebApp by navigating to WEBAPPS / on the left-hand menu and then clicking on the “+ Create new WebApp” button.

You can Create as many custom fields as you’d like by clicking the blue “Add New Fields” button.

WebApp Setup:

  • WebApp Name - Defines the name your WebApp.
  • WebApp Slug - Defines the URL that your WebApp can be found at.

Default Required Fields:

  • Name - Used to name your WebApp item.
  • Slug - Used to define the URL of your WebApp item.
  • Release Date - Defaults to date and time of creation.
  • Expiry Date - Defaults to 2038 (current max).
  • Enabled - Default state is Enabled (on).

Default Optional Fields:

  • Weighting - Defines Weighting of your WebApp item. Weighting can be used to control the order of items on a page.

Custom Field Types:

  • Text (String) - Single line text field, used for short text inputs.
  • Text (Multiline) - Multiline text field, used for longer text inputs.
  • Checkbox - Comma seperated e.g. Checkbox 1, Checkbox 2.
  • Radio Button - Comma seperated e.g. Radio 1, Radio 2.
  • Dropdown - Comma seperated e.g. Option 1, Option 2.
  • Dropdown (Multi Item) - Comma seperated e.g. Option 1, Option 2.
  • Image - Select a media file from File Manager.
  • Datasource - Select a WebApp that you’d like to pull in the data for on your WebApp item.
  • Datasource (Multi Item) - Select a WebApp that you’d like to pull in the data for on your WebApp item.

Editing a WebApp

To edit the structure of an existing custom WebApp, click on the "Edit WebApp structure" button to the left of the "Add new WebApp Item" button.

From here you can edit any of the following: WebApp Name, WebApp Slug, Field Names, Field Types, Field Options, Add Fields, Remove Fields, Update Required Status.

Warning: When changing field types you will lose any content in the field if your new field type does not support the previous content type.
