Editing Form Details

You can edit the name, details and fields of any Form by clicking on the edit pencil button next to the desired Form, in your list of Forms.

Editing Form Layouts

You can view the HTML Layout of any form within Code Editor. Form Layouts can be found via layouts/forms/form_name/default.liquid'.

You can also create alternative layouts by creating a file within the same folder.

The default.liquid file will automatically update to reflect changes to the Form made in Admin. However, custom layouts will not; you can use the toolbox to add new Fields to these in the places you want them. We make this distinction because in custom layouts we want to give you full control. Choose the best solution to suit the way you want to work.

The Form Liquid Tag

When we send a Form to the server, we need to include some important identification and security information. The liquid {% form %} tag is a convenient way to add this information automatically, without cluttering up the layout.

E.g. your Form Layout should be wrapped in an opening and closing Form tag. This will output an HTML <form> tag, and add important hidden fields.

{% form %}

{% endform %}

If you want to add an ID or class to the HTML form tag which is generated, you can. You can do this by adding parameters to the liquid form tag e.g.

{% form, html-id: 'test', html-class: 'test2' -%}

renders to:

<form id="test" class="test2">
  <!-- Hidden fields added here -->
</form>
